The Department of Communication Studies and Media Arts is a hub for learning media studies, digital technologies, communication practices and cultural production. We are a highly interdisciplinary department, bringing together academic researchers, artists, activists and professional communicators to advance our understanding of the complex global communication dynamics and modes of cultural expression that drive our world.
Our students, from the BA to Masters to PhD levels, share our interest in asking critical and reflective questions about the constantly evolving media, technology and culture; solving problems collaboratively; and creative making. We are committed to preparing our students for their futures as professionals, entrepreneurs, community members and lifelong learners.
