Media Arts at McMaster is a limited enrolment, second-year-entry program. To be eligible, you must have completed any Level 1 program, such as Level 1 Humanities or Level 1 Social Sciences, with an average of at least 5.0. You also must have earned a grade of at least a C in MEDIAART 1A03 Media Arts.

Because there are only 50 program seats available per year, admission into the program is offered to students earning the highest grades in MEDIAART 1A03. In practice, the cutoff for admission into the program is higher than the minimum grade for program entrance eligibility. During the program/plan selection process at the end of winter term, prospective applicants are advised to rank Media Arts (or a combined program including Media Arts) as their first program of choice.
